Churchill's Restaurant

Welcome to Churchill's Restaurant, found at 284 High St in Lincoln, a dining spot that combines traditional charm with modern touches. From the moment you step inside, you notice the elegant yet cozy atmosphere, with soft lighting, crisp table settings, and attentive staff who make the experience feel special without being stiff.

The menu is shaped around British and European classics, with a focus on seasonal ingredients. During my visit, I started with a creamy garlic mushroom starter that was perfectly portioned and rich in flavor. For mains, the roast beef dish stood out—it came with crisp Yorkshire pudding, tender slices of beef, and vegetables cooked just right. A friend tried the pan-seared salmon, which was plated beautifully with a fresh citrus dressing that brightened the dish. According to several local reviews, their Sunday roasts are a highlight and draw many regulars back each week.

One detail that elevates Churchill's is their attention to wine pairings. The staff are knowledgeable and can suggest a glass that complements your meal, whether you’re after something bold with steak or crisp with seafood. Desserts are worth saving room for; the sticky toffee pudding is a popular choice and doesn’t disappoint—sweet, indulgent, and served warm.

Service here is steady and professional. Even on busy evenings, plates arrive at a comfortable pace and staff remain attentive without hovering. The restaurant is also well located on Lincoln’s High Street, making it an easy spot for both locals and visitors exploring the city.

Overall, Churchill's Restaurant blends reliable food, thoughtful presentation, and warm service, making it a trustworthy choice in Lincoln for both casual meals and more celebratory occasions.

Nice pleasant café that serves a wide variety of food and drink. Did find the food expensive though, but I must say, it was of premium quality. Staff very pleasant and retained good customer service despite there being a rude customer when I came in here. If ever at this end of Lincoln again I’ll call in.

Breakfast time but decided on Lincolnshire plum pudding with cheese. Turned out to be a couple of slices cold with sliced cheese from a packet on top! Not what I expected. Thought it would be toasted with cheese melted on top. Edible but slightly disappointed. Coffee nice. Service friendly.

Really nice place on the high street. We went for breakfast. My partner had the veggie one and had the classic. Very good.
